Washington Parenting Plan Example

Parenting plan!  Your going through a divorce and you hear that because you have kids, you can't get divorced until you have a parenting plan in place.  We know, it's very confusing.  So, what is this parenting plan.  Essentially, it's a plan that states what your children will do for every day of their life until they are 18 years old.  It states where they spend their birthdays, holidays, vacations, etc. with each parent.

It's important!  To go into the development of a parenting plan without understanding what it is can be disasterous.  And, to hire an attorney to develop it for you can be down right expensive.  So, we are gathering up parenting plan examples for you to download, read, modify if necessary, and use in your own circumstances.

If you use one of them, and then modify it for your own use, can you do us a favor and share it with us so we can help some other young family same some money from the lawyers and use it for the well being of their own family.  And, if we save you an hour of your attorney's time, we ask one other thing.  When you have the financial crisis created by divorce behind you, please make a small donation to the shared parenting organization of your choice - they are working hard to stop family abuse.

Washington Parenting Plan Sample - Simple but effective plan that handles joint custody very well.

Do you have a parenting plan to share?  Please forward it to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it    We do ask that you remove any personal information first.

These parenting plans are provided only as a sample.  Your attorney should review and advise on any parenting plan you will be using.  If you are a pro se litigant (representing yourself), these samples can give you a good idea of what others have used in their cases.
